The Role
We are seeking a Financial Accounts Manager (ACCA Qualified) to oversee financial operations, manage reporting, and support strategic decision-making. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to ensure compliance with UK financial and employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee financial statements, management accounts, and budgets.
- Monitor KPIs, financial performance, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation across multiple sites.
- Manage and mentor accounting staff.
- Support statutory audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment laws, health & safety, and company policies.
- Assist in the financial planning of new store openings and operational expansions.
Essential Requirements
- ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a financial management or accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, KPIs, and operational efficiency.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (Right to Work checks will be conducted).
Desirable
- Experience in multi-site retail accounting.
- Professional qualification in Finance or Business Administration.
- Exposure to ERP or financial management systems in retail.
